To send Harness events to Palo Alto Networks Cortex XCOR, create a webhook within Harness and include your API key to authenticate with Cortex XCOR.

Obtain an API token

Before sending events from Harness, contact Cortex XCOR Support to obtain an API token to authenticate with Cortex XCOR.
This API token differs from an API token that’s generated when you create a service account.

Create a Harness webhook

To send Harness events to Cortex XCOR:
  1. In Harness, create a webhook.
  2. Select Add a Notification Rule. Cortex XCOR supports the following Harness events:
    • PipelineSuccess
    • PipelineFailed
    • PipelineStart
Cortex XCOR listens for PipelineStart, PipelineSuccess, and PipelineFailed events. There can be several hours between a PipelineStart event and a deployment. Cortex XCOR recommends using PipelineSuccess or PipelineFailed unless start events are critical information.
  3. Select a Webhook notification method.
  4. Enter the following URL: https://TENANT/api/v1/data/events/receiver/harness
  5. Click + Add Headers to add the following custom header:
Replace CHRONOSPHERE_HARNESS_TOKEN with the API token obtained from Cortex XCOR Support.
  6. Click Finish.
