Configure pinned scopes

Pinned scopes define a set of consistent criteria for users to select a subset of data. Scopes are used in several sections in Palo Alto Networks Cortex XCOR. Click the Pin scopes box in a supported page to display the configured scopes. To select a scope, click it.

Create a pinned scope

To create a scope:

1. In the navigation menu, click Go to Admin and then select Platform > Scope Configuration.
2. Click Create.
3. Add values to the following fields:
   • Label name: A valid PromQL label used to resolve values for the variable and injected into queries.
   • Series selector: A PromQL series selector that limits the resolved label values.
4. Click Reload to preview the matching label values.
5. Click Save.

Edit a scope

To edit a scope:

1. Click the Edit variable icon in the row with the scope name.
2. Update the Label name, Series selector, or Default value.
3. Click Save.

Delete a scope

To delete a scope, click the Delete variable icon in the row with the scope name, and then click Delete.
